Terms of Service

1. Scope
These Terms of Service (ToS) apply to all contracts regarding the use of the Sentinel Security Platform (hereinafter "Platform" or "Service").
Deviating, conflicting, or supplementary terms and conditions of the customer shall not become part of the contract unless their validity is expressly agreed to in writing.
2. Subject Matter and Services
2.1 Scope of Services
Sentinel offers a Vulnerability Management Platform that includes the following services:
- Access to a comprehensive CVE database
- Search and filter functions for vulnerabilities
- Alert system for custom monitoring
- Export functions for vulnerability data
- Email notifications for relevant CVEs
2.2 Subscription Plans
Sentinel offers various subscription plans:
- Free: Basic access with limited features
- Professional: Advanced features and higher limits
- Enterprise: Full access with all features

3. Conclusion of Contract
The contract is concluded by registering on the platform and accepting these ToS.
For paid subscriptions, the contract is concluded by selecting a plan, entering payment details, and confirming the order.
4. Prices and Payment Terms
4.1 Prices
All prices are in Euro and include the applicable VAT.
4.2 Payment
Payments are made via our payment service provider Stripe. Payment processing is secure and encrypted.
For subscriptions, the amount is debited monthly in advance. The first payment is made upon conclusion of the contract.
4.3 Refunds
Payments already made will not be refunded pro rata in the event of early termination. Exceptions only apply in the case of a statutory right of withdrawal or proven technical errors.
5. Usage Rights and Restrictions
5.1 Right of Use
The user receives a simple, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the platform for the duration of the contract.
5.2 Restrictions
The following actions are prohibited:
- Sharing access data with third parties
- Abusive use of the API (e.g. excessive requests)
- Attempting to hack or manipulate the platform
- Commercial resale of data without permission
- Using automated tools to bypass limits
6. Availability and Maintenance
We strive for high availability of the platform. Planned maintenance work will be announced in advance if possible.
No availability guarantees can be given for free plans. For paid plans, we aim for an availability of 99.5%.
7. Termination
7.1 Termination by the User
The user can terminate their subscription at any time with immediate effect or at the end of the current billing period.
7.2 Termination by Sentinel
Sentinel can terminate the subscription with a notice period of 14 days to the end of the month, especially in case of:
- Violations of these ToS
- Abusive use
- Non-payment despite reminder
8. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence as well as for injury to life, body, or health.
For slight negligence, we are only liable for the breach of a material contractual obligation, the fulfillment of which makes the proper execution of the contract possible in the first place.
Liability for damages resulting from the use of our data is excluded, unless caused intentionally.
9. Data Privacy
The protection of your personal data is important to us. All details on data processing can be found in our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to the ToS
We reserve the right to change these ToS. Significant changes will be communicated to the user by email. If the user does not object within 14 days, the changed ToS are considered accepted.
11. Final Provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Sales Convention.
Should individual provisions of these ToS be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
